Our experience with wireless data transmission devices (radio modems) and our collaboration with Siemens (GSM modems) and ATIM (UHF and industrial Wi-Fi radio modems), ensure the absolute success in applications that require the use of wireless technologies.

For the complete control of the systems via computer, we use the leading SCADA software WinCC of Siemens, in combination with the specialized software platform named TELSYS, developed by our company.

Our automation systems offer the following basic possibilities:

Automated operation of the installation. According to the functional requirements of the installation, suitable software for optimized operation, without human intervention, will be developed.

Remote monitoring. Since it is critical to control the functional status of the equipment in water supply, irrigation and sewerage installations, we offer the possibility of collecting all relative information in a central control room. The depiction can be either on a panel with a mimic diagram, or on a computer screen. Additionally, there is the possibility of complete equipment remote control. However, in case there is no personnel available for the continuous monitoring of system, it is possible, in case of equipment malfunction, to automatically notify the people in charge on his / her pager or his / her mobile using SMS messages.

Recording of functional parameters. Our systems have the capability of continuously recording the functional parameters of the automation equipment. This way, a complete archive with information like level of reservoirs, consumption, flow etc can be kept. The information is always available and the use of statistical analysis methods can lead to a precise planning of the function of the installations, with emphasis at efficiency and savings. The most optimal function of the installations is guaranteed this way.

Tele-service – remote-programming. The applied technologies allow for remote diagnosis of the functional status and programming of the units, using the available telecommunications network. Trained technicians can diagnose the units from the control room and they do not need to be physically present at the installation place. Still, in the case there is not any specialized personnel, our engineers can do the above tasks remotely. Consequently, this way there is no cost for transportation and / or waste of time.

Interconnection with existing systems - scalability. All used components are industrial grade of-the-shelve products, widely established in the automation industry, so that the interconnection with preexisting components is guaranteed. The used architectures guarantee the scalability of the systems, whenever this is desirable.

Remote alarming. It is possible, in case of equipment failure, to automatically notify the technician in charge or the supervising engineer with written messages (SMS) in their mobile phones. This way we can deal with emergency situations without having to employ personnel on a 24-hour basis.

Flexibility in the deployment of the communication network.

They following technologies can be used:

  • Leased lines (both copper and digital).
  • Optical fibers.
  • Industrial network RS-485.
  • Wireless modems VHF-UHF- WiFi – WiMAX.
  • Cellular networks (GSM data, GPRS, 3G and SMS).
  • Satellite networks (INMARSAT, VSAT).

The multiple communication ports available on our units are used to choose a more suitable way of communication, even in the case there is more than one. As an example, a wireless communication with UHF radio modem can be used as the main way of communication and the telephone connection as a backup (fault tolerant system).
